چکیده

Abstract An electrical resistivity survey has been carried out in Padalarang, West Java, to investigate groundwater potential solve the lack of clean water. The consists three vertical sounding (VES) and four tomography (ERT) profiles study area. data was processed using inversion method. Wells area is available validate data. result VES shows a low value (2.82 - 11.72 Ωm) at its fourth layer, which we expected be zone with high water content. ERTs also revealed (<10.1 Ωm), approximately more than 60 m depth ERT 3 4. We expect this have potential. A central part may yield Our could serve as guide engineers for planning on sitting boreholes either domestic, agricultural, or industrial use.

Electrical Resistivity Investigation of Gas Hydrate Distribution in

Electrical methods offer a potential geophysical approach to determining the sub-bottom distribution of gas hydrate in the deep marine environment. Gas hydrate is essentially nonconductive. Hence, sediments with pore spaces partially filled with hydrate or containing veins filled with hydrate are more resistive than surrounding sediments with pore spaces filled with seawater. To date, attempts ...

Detection and determination of groundwater contamination plume using time-lapse electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) method

Protection of water resources from contamination and detection of the contaminants and their treatments are among the essential issues in the management of water resources. In this work, the time-lapse electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) surveys were conducted along 7 longitudinal lines in the downstream of the Latian dam in Jajrood (Iran), in order to detect the contamination resulting fro...

Coastal groundwater dynamics off Santa Barbara, California: Combining geochemical tracers, electromagnetic seepmeters, and electrical resistivity

This paper presents repeat field measurements of 222Rn and 223,224,226,228Ra, electromagnetic seepage meter-derived advective fluxes, and multi-electrode, stationary and continuous marine resistivity surveys collected between November 2005 and April 2007 to study coastal groundwater dynamics within a marine beach in Santa Barbara, California. The study provides insight into magnitude and dynami...
